Practical Article Marketing Tips – Front Load Your Article Title With Keywords For More Traffic

To get the traffic you want from Article Marketing, you need to craft a powerful eye catching and search engine catching title.

One of the best ways to do this is to “front load your title with keywords.”

That’s a fancy schmancy way of saying, “Make sure there are keywords in the first four words of your title.”

For example, the title “The Top 7 Reasons to Repurpose Your Articles on Twitter” sounds like a good title.

It’s got benefits. It’s got a number. It’s got keywords, but guess what? On the internet that title stinks, because “The top 7 ways..” are the first four words. When somebody goes over and types in your keywords and all the little search engines send out their little spiders to go find information all over the internet and there are no keywords in the first four words, boom, the spiders are gone. They don’t return your article as a possible match.

That’s why on the front of this title I would add, “Practical Article Marketing Tips.” The keywords there are article marketing. I could just say, Article Marketing – The Top 7 Reasons to Repurpose Your Articles on Twitter but I like to brand myself and own different phrases, so that’s why those keywords are sort of sandwiched in between Practical & Tips.

The first four words need to contain keywords.

Would it better for me to write “Article marketing” over and over in the title? No.

One, they won’t accept your article. Two, they might kick you out. That’s called keyword stuffing or keyword spamming. You don’t do that.

Make it flow naturally. Everything we’re doing here is writing to two sets of people, to real life people with eyeballs, and search engines. We’re writing to both. That’s the skill and the art of writing articles.
